About Me

For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for reading. Wherever I go, I always carry a book with me – usually more, because one should always have a backup. And possibly a backup to the backup. I have been known to go on trips for a weekend and pack a suitcase entirely full of books, but forget to pack clothes. I prefer reading physical books, because I love the way they feel, the way they smell, and the way they look on my shelf! But I often read ebooks on my iphone, especially if books I'm interested go on sale on Amazon.  I read mostly YA because I feel like the genre has just really come a long way, but every now and then I find myself reading urban fantasy, and sometimes I am just in the mood for a good long epic fantasy, or a light funny contemporary.

My other passion besides reading is fountain pens.  I have accumulated more fountain pens than I care to admit, yet there's always "that other one" that I always want.  I also love exploring the different inks that I can use in my pens - in my part, the plethora of ink choices is the best part about using fountain pens!


I have been married to my amazing husband for five years, and we live together in Michigan with our German Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, and Burmese cat, and I currently study Psychology at the university in our town.
